Available Plans and Pricing
Gimkit provides two types of licenses for groups, both designed with flexibility in mind:
License Type | Who It Covers | Annual Cost |
---|---|---|
Department | Up to 20 educators | $650 |
School | All staff in a building or 100 total | $1,000 |
With the Department option, your license can begin with as few as 11 members and go up to 19. There’s no need to contact support to increase seats within that range. You won’t need a new invoice or approval to adjust within these limits.
The School license lets you upgrade all teachers in a single building or as many as 100 teachers across different buildings. It's ideal for large teams needing full access without limits.
Teachers can still get Pro individually using their Pay for Me Link if your team grows and they exceed their license cap.
How to Create a Quote
To get started, visit the Gimkit Groups webpage. Choose the plan that suits your group’s size, and create a quote.
Each quote you make generates a unique link. You can use that link to:
- View the quote again later
- Share it with others
- Use it to complete the purchase
These quotes remain active for 3 months, giving you time to decide. Return to the quote using the link and proceed with payment when ready. You can pay using either a credit card or a purchase order.
Anyone with the quoted URL and a Gimkit account can buy the group plan. During checkout, there’s also an option to assign group managers and add emails to receive billing updates.
Payment Steps and License Activation
Once the group is paid for, the license will be active for 365 days starting from the purchase date. These licenses are not set to renew automatically, so renewal is manual.
After your transaction, you'll see a confirmation page showing your active status. This screen includes a link to your invoice or receipt and instructions on managing your license.
Gimkit provides an invoice with NET45 terms if you use a purchase order. You’ll also get a copy by email. Be aware: if the invoice is not paid within 90 days, your group access will be automatically suspended.
You can always check your payment status by logging into the admin dashboard. The status next to the group name will tell you whether payment is completed or still pending:
Status Label | Meaning |
---|---|
Waiting for Payment | The invoice has not yet been paid |
Payment Received | Payment completed and confirmed |
You'll receive a receipt immediately if you pay using a credit card. An email copy will also be sent to you right after payment.
Managing Your Group Online
Group managers can access a complete dashboard to oversee their plans. To do this, sign into your account and go to gimkit.com/groups. Choose the group you want to work with. If you have more than one, the most recent one will be shown first.
Through the admin dashboard, you can:
- Add or remove group members
- Assign additional group managers
- Access and download billing documents
Renew the plan once it nears expiration
